Hello to everyone who is taking part in our very first Weekly Champions £100 Big Match. The Weekly Champions have all received special invitations because they have fought through the challenges and have each won 4 Weekly £10 Prize Fastest Typists Competitions. As an appreciation of their support for our Big Match they will each be sent a £10 Amazon Voucher later today. We also welcome to this inaugural competition our WILDCARD competitors, those competitors who took part in our Weekly £10 competition but who didn't win. Our aim is to make our competitions inclusive so you are able to take part in your own competition within a competition, a Big Match is two competitions in one. We have the World's Fastest Typists and we have some of the world's best competitors, people who just enjoy the challenge of fast typing. There are good prizes for everyone, so let's get on with the commentary and see where we are.
We’ve got an even split at the moment with four Invited Champions occupying the first four places (no surprises there then!) and below them are the four WILDCARD competitors.
Currently in the £100 Winners1st Place position is our keen typist competitor AnnaE – hello Anna- who has made a number of visits and has achieved that top spot in a determined way.
In 2nd Place, and looking at the £40 prize, is that determined competitor, imgonnalose69 with 140 WP and 99.94%, not far behind AnnaE’s 143 WPM and 99.73%. Hmmm… this could be interesting.
Yue Jun, now back in China from her stay in the UK, has scored her trademark 100% accuracy but that 56 WPM leaves her down the scoreboard for the moment. Now that we’re using the ’98.5% Rule’ for accuracy it may be that if she just loosens off a little bit on the accuracy she might well achieve more speed. We’ll see. At the moment Yue Jun is in the £10 Prize position.
Then there’s zhangerbanger in 4th Place with a quick 132 WPM and 98.36 %Accuracy. That’s not quite the 98.5% you need to get into a cash prize winning position zhangerbanger. We can see, by clicking on your name in the scoreboard, that your User Data shows that you have a personal best of 140 WPM with 100% accuracy in Competition No.82, so we know that you have a lot yet to give.
Moving to the 1st Place WILDCARD competitors we Colasss in the £40 1st Prize position with 84 WPM and 97.44% accuracy followed by YIHAO in the £20 2nd Prize position with a quick 120 WPM but being held back by that 97.05% accuracy. David01322o is in 7th position overall and 3rd Place in the WILDCARD position, with a chance of a £10 prize if he can keep it. Davido1322o has a very solid 90 WPM with 93.42% accuracy at the moment.
Supporting everyone on the scoreboard at the moment is Liq lang with a solid 56 WPM and 89.47% accuracy and four days in which to improve that.
The competition is under way. May the best typist win!
Summary Monday 22nd November 2022 17:19 GMT
In the closing hours there was no one to touch our young 16 year old typing hot shot, maciej61238 who remained out in the lead, 29 WPM ahead of AnnaE who had a very good score of 143 WPM with 99.73% accuracy to win the Invited Champions £40 2nd Prize.
But, it was maciej61238 who had that mountain of a score of 172 WPM with 99.2% accuracy and who took home the £100 1st Place cash prize. You can see maciej ‘s winning entry on his YouTube channel here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ibb-6GjgtYo&t=33s Well done Maciej
The battle for the £40 second place between mgonnalose69 and AnnaE didn’t happen, imgonnalose69’s didn’t return to challenge AnnaE, although the score made on Monday of the competition week of 140 WPM and 99.4% accuracy is a personal best for imgonnalose69 and left him with the £20 3rd Prize.
The main danger could have come from zhangerbanger but zhangerbanger made only one attempt to achieve 132 WPM and 98.36% accuracy and didn’t get into the money prizes although a quick click on his name reveals User Data which shows a personal best of 140 WPM and 100% accuracy. That would certainly have put zhangerbanger in a position to have challenged for a cash prize, however it was only good enough for 5th Place in the Invited Winners Placings.
Yue Jun achieve her trademark 100% accuracy with a solid 56 WPM but that wasn’t enough to get amongst the prize winners. A good attempt though and that put here in 4th Place in the Invited Winners placings.
At the top of the WILDCARD competitors is YIHAO with 134 WPM and a brilliant 99.26% accuracy score which earns the WILDCARD £40 1st Prize.
The only competitor with the speed to challenge YIHAO was dindondoe with a fast 140 WPM and 96.48% accuracy but that accuracy wasn’t enough to get over the 98.5% hurdle which would have made that 140 WPM a winning score. However, it was davido1322o who passed the 98.5% accuracy mark to take WILDCARD 3rd Place and the £10 cash prize, just 1 WPM behind Colasss who finished y in the £20 Wildcard 2nd Prize position.
In WILDCARD 5th Place is Jack Garton with a solid 51 WPM but a low 90.73%.
Supporting everyone else on the scoreboard is Liq lang with a 56 WPM score which is a personal best only previously achieved in Weekly Winners £50 Big Match No.1, but the accuracy score of 89.47% means that Liq lang is in WILDCARD 6th Place.
So, thanks to everyone for taking part, for those who have not yet won a Weekly £10 Prize Fastest Typist competition keep trying because if you do win, then that gives you a championship point, four wins in any ten week period and you become a Champion; two more wins within any ten week period and you become a Famer. This means that will always be invited to the BIG MATCHES with the higher cash prizes.
